Calendar/ assignments  fall 2011

  •   The textbook reading assignments are listed below. 
  •   The list of essay assignments below is partial -- many in-class writings and essay-related writing will be assigned as needed.  These     assignments will be announced in class.
  •   In-class writing will be required in most class sessions (topics tba),
  •   To pass this course, you must have completed and submitted (on time) 70% of all assignments.(This is a pass/fail course)
  •  At the end of the semester, you will retake the Writing Skills Assessment Test; if your writing is deemed college level, you will be placed   into EGL 101.  If your writing is still "developmental," then you will be placed again in EGL 097.  This is separate from the pass or fail of the course.
     
  •   Your instructor is NOT responsible for getting assignments to you if you miss class. It is suggested that you exchange contact info with another classmate. .and come to class!.
