Welcome to HIT 151.
My name is Davita Webb and I will be the
facilitator for the on-line section of Introduction to Medical
Transcription. I am an adjunct faculty
member in the Medical Transcription Certificate program. I have many years
experience in the field of medical transcription.
When you register for classes at Oakton you receive access
to our computer system and school resources at both the
Your User name and Password will be entered on the class
Website the week your class begins. To visit the class Website go on the
Internet and enter http://online.oakton.edu/ this will open the WebCt
page. Click on My WebCt and enter your User Name and
Password. Then click open HIT 151.
Your User Name –
your first initial and the first 7 letters of your last name, and the last 4
number of
your Oakton ID number (B number on your bill).
Your Password
– is your birthdate
without dashes.
Example: Sally Johnson B1234567
User Name –
sjohnson4567
Password - 052684 (birthdate no dashes)
** Purchase your SUM CD before HIT 151
begins so you are ready for the first week assignments.

The on-line part of the class is accessible from most
Internet browsers and all the OCC campus computers. Although Internet Explorer works best with WebCT, you can access the website from outside Oakton with
