To receive participation credit for any event, you must have an appropriate proof of attendance, and you must write a brief response and add this to your journal. Linking an event to class material is highly recommended.

March 7, 12:00 to 1:00 pm in Room P103 at the Skokie campus and March 8, 12:00 to 1:00 pm in the Library (lower level) at the Des Plaines campus............Join author Anna Guevarra, Ph.D., assistant professor of Sociology and Asian-American Studies at the University of Illinois-Chicago, as she discusses her award-winning work, A Marketing Dreams, Manufacturing Heroes: The Transnational Labor Brokering of Filipino Workers. The book examines the multilayered process of brokering Filipino labor--the Philippines' highly--prized export.
