Welcome ...

to my Oakton home page. As an adjunct instructor at Oakton, I teach general college biology and biochemistry. I also developed and currently teach Oakton's course in human genetics.

Students working toward careers in medicine or allied health may appreciate course emphasis on the application of basic science to delivery of healthcare and development of disease therapies. This approach is a product of my experience; I have a master of science degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of California, Irvine, and have practiced as a genetic counselor in clinical and research settings.

Great teacher. This class is not for babies though. Be prepared to work for the grade!!!!

12/14/11, CHM 229
One of the best teachers at Oakton. Old style teacher. Very knowledgeable , knows what to teach and do not expect something that did not teach.

11/13/11, BIO 104
HARDEST TEACHER

8/27/10, BIO121
Hard class, not 4 everyone. Don't excpect to do well by cramming and don't take it if u have problems with authority. She genuinely wants everyone to learn it. Take great notes, review them everyday and read the chapters. Not skim, her exams are tough! Info she teaches builds a strong base for BIO classes and CHM. Worth all the time and effort.
