They said that stocks were selling high on Wall $treet.
They said your stock would rise and never fail.
But now the bear has come to town.
My 401K's going down.
The glitter has rubbed off, and I'm nowhere.
They say stock brokers treat you right on Wall $treet
But crooks among them drives me to drink booze.
Now they won't even give me time.
Soon I won't have but one thin dime.
And one thin dime is useless anyway.
(instrumental break)
They say the market won't last long on Wall $treet.
Corruption scandals have come home - we're dead meat.
Bush hopes they're wrong, because not far:
The fall elections scare this czar.
And this dumb czar says I should trust in Wall $treet...
(instrumental ending)
