Strike Iraq
Dubya wags the dog with a new war on Iraq to divert attention from his ties to accounting scandals
(Sung to the tune of "Like A Rock" by Bob Seger)

(instrumental intro)

Bush is coldly flashin' the Big Gun.
On war, spent billions; he's not even done.
Soon after summer, use war to fix what's wrong:
Strike Iraq.

He's libertine; doesn't have a care.
Working for wingnuts; there's no time to spare.
Now Bush careens, war fever's in the air:
Strike Iraq.

Our land's already heard lies 'bout why we fight.
War's only purpose: to save the looney Right.
While Bush is squirming, new war will help his plight:
Strike Iraq.

Strike Iraq... Dubya's wrong as he could be.
Strike Iraq... Ignored Poppy's history.
Strike Iraq... A new war, we can foresee.
Strike Iraq.

Scandals like Enrongate;
Shrub's encumbered by the weight
Of corporate hustlers and their schemes.
They're his crowd, his downfall.
Bush approved it all.
He still believes right wing dreams.

(instrumental break - NOTE: the MIDI music skips the next two verses)

Two more years now... left to go.
Two more years now... Bush must go.
Don't sit, let him blunder.
Good times are now gone.

With no debate, Bush Lite
Will appease the hawkish Right.
They'll soon be callin' boys to go fight.
Soon in the fall.... in the fall....

Spike Iraq... blurrin' Enrongate.
Strike Iraq... makin' Bush look "great."
Strike Iraq... fannin' flames of hate.
Strike Iraq.

Strike Iraq... Son repeating Dad's sin.
Strike Iraq...diverts from woes he's in.
Strike Iraq... to free himself again.
Strike Iraq.

(instrumental ending)
