About the course

Laboratory course introduces life science. Content includes cell structure and function, cell division, nucleic acids and proteins, biodiversity and evolution, and selected human systems. Intended for non-science majors, and those who desire an understanding of fundamental life processes, or who intends to pursue higher biology courses. 

 

Introduction to the Instructor

Urbi Ghosh has been teaching biology and genetics for over 5 years. She has a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Business. She has worked the the pharmaceutical area for numerous years.
 
She enjoys understanding how life systems interact and work. The course will use techology in the classroom and WebCt to facilitate the learning experience. Students are encouraged to participate and email the instructor with any questions before, during and after class.
