Course introduces basic concepts and principles of the science of nutrition. Identification and definition of nutritional concepts components of food and energy. Consideration of nutrition requirements for each age group. Health problems related to diet.

Introduction to the Instructor
Urbi Ghosh has been teaching for over 6 years. She has a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Business. She has worked the the pharmaceutical area for numerous years. She is currently working on her Phd in Education.
The course will use techology in the classroom and WebCt to facilitate the learning experience. Students are encouraged to participate and email the instructor with any questions before, during and after class.
