Out-of-District Residents who wish to enroll in an Oakton program not available at their home institution may apply for a chargeback or joint agreement to attend Oakton at the in-district rate. If you wish to attend Oakton under a joint agreement or chargeback, you need to contact the Admissions Office at your home college. Most colleges require you to apply for a chargeback or joint agreement at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the semester. |
Explanation
of tuition and fees:
Oakton has a one-time Application Fee of $25.00. Oakton Tuition, plus student activity fee for district residents is $88.60 per semester hour. Sixty credit hours multiplied by $88.60 (district residents) = $5,316.00.Oakton Tuition, plus student activity fee for out-of-district residents of Illinois is $274.60 per semester hour. Sixty credit hours multiplied by $274.60 (out of district residents of Illinois) = $16,476.00. A Registration Fee of $15.00 is charged each semester. Number of semesters needed to complete program will depend on number of courses for which a student enrolls per semester. For the purpose of estimating cost: Six semesters multiplied by $15 = $90.00. The are Lab fees for courses in the for courses in the Fire Science Technology, Associate in Applied Science Degree total $60.00. If FIR 220 is selected as a major elective, the total would be $210.00. It is not possible to provide the exact cost of Books. A safe estimate would be $125.00 per course. Twenty courses multiplied by $125.00 = $2,500.00. A graduation fee of $25.00 is charged when the student petitions for graduation. |
