Peer Tutor Training Program is designed to provide experience
and training in the fundamental skills essential for successful
tutoring. Participants learn techniques, methods and approaches
that improve learning. Through readings, class discussion,
case studies, journals, group work, activities and a practicum,
participants distinguish the academic and personal skills
that help students achieve their academic goals.

may apply?
- Juniors
and Seniors in high school

Students enrolled in AP Calculus or a higher level mathematics
course
- Students
with an interest in pursuing a college major in Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

is the Peer Tutor Training Program held?
June
12 - July 27, 2008
How
do I apply?
- Complete
Peer Tutor Application (PDF
or Online).
- Ask
your math or science teacher to complete the Teacher
Recommendation
Form (PDF or Word).
- Include
high school transcript. (Student copy of transcript is
acceptable.)
- Personal
interview will be scheduled following a review of the
application.
Admission
begins April 16. Please submit application
