Oakton Community College received a grant from the National Science Foundation to provide scholarships for talented science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) students who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is intended to help students who might be unable to be a full-time student without additional financial support. Depending on the financial need and mathematics background, APEX Scholars may award up to $8,000 per year. Students who previously receive this scholarship may be eligible for $1,000 or $2,000 per year when they transfer to a four-year institution to major in STEM. Number of applications
