August 7-12, 2005, Nanjing, China

Deadline for papers, May 20,2005

To mark the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II, to promote the studies of the Holocaust and Nanjing Massacre, and to draw parallel lessens between the two atrocities, the Center for Jewish Studies at Nanjing University and the London Jewish Cultural Centre jointly plan to hold an International Seminar on Holocaust and Genocide in WWII: Jewish and Chinese Experiences from August 7-12, 2005, in Nanjing, China.

The project will include participants from Yad Vashem (Israel), the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Anne Frank House (Amsterdam) and the Centre de Documentation Juive Contemporaine CDJC (France).
The seminar will share mutual knowledge through a series of lectures, seminars and museum tours. • Rescue and Resistance during the Holocaust and Rescue Efforts during the Nanjing Massacre
  • Massacre and Remembrance and The Holocaust and memory
  • Nanjing and Japanese Deniers and Holocaust Denial; and
