Humanities and Philosophy Courses with Douglas Giles
Humanities 127: Introduction to Philosophy
Students will learn more in this course than any other undergraduate course they will take. This course covers the interactions among philosophy, religion, and culture by outlining the history of thought in Western civilization. Students will learn how we became the people we are today and why we think the way we do. This is no boring slog through dead ideas! This is an active course that challenges students to help them see the vital connections of ideas, thoughts, and perspectives throughout our history and never talks down to them.
