Welcome
Welcome to my Oakton home page. I have been teaching political
science and history courses at Oakton since 1995. Among the courses
I have taught are International Relation, History of Islamic Middle
East, International Terrorism, American Government, U.S. Foreign
Policy, International Security, Comparative Government, Western
Civilization, and Non-Western Civilization. I have an MA degree
in International Relations from the University of Chicago, and have
done post-graduate work in political science and Middle Eastern
history at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have
also taught at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and
at various community colleges in the Chicago area. My non-teaching
interests include music, literature and non-fiction, movies, travel
and sports.
