Welcome

Hello Oakton students. My Name is Rosemary VanVranken. I currently teach medical terminology in the Health Information Technology department. I have a PhD in Higher Education from Loyola University. I have worked part-time at Oakton since it was built in the 70's I have also worked as an RHIA in five different hospitals. I also taught at Chicago State University in the Health Information Management program. My passion for teaching has been enhanced by the students from so many different cultures. My goal is to increase your knowledge of medicine and give you a strong connection to health care.
