Welcome

Hello and welcome to my home page!

I have taught in the Health Information Technology Department at Oakton Community College for 9 years. I hold a Masters degree in Public Health from Benedictine University and I have been an RHIT since 1979. I began working in health information in 1971, in the acute care setting, and came to Oakton as a facilitator and instructor in 1999.

Our profession is one of innovation and change, and we rely heavily on our knowledge base in both clinical and information systems. I hope to bring to the classroom both my enthusiasm for our profession and my love of learning.
