AGS with Cannabis Dispensary and Patient Care to Medicinal Plant Chemistry Bachelors Degree with Scholarship

What is it?

Northern Michigan University and Oakton College have entered into a curriculum articulation agreement for students who complete the A.G.S. degree with the Cannabis Dispensary and Patient Care Specialist Certificate embedded in the degree and transfer to NMU to complete the Bachelors of Science in Medicinal Plant Chemistry (Entrepreneurial track). Students who do this with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, qualify for a Transfer Scholarship of $5600.00.

Application

Apply Northern Michigan University

  1. Students should discuss the pursuit of this Transfer Pathway to Northern Michigan University for the Bachelors of Science in Medicinal Plant Chemistry (Entrepreneurial track), while they are in the first year of their coursework in order to help them plan for transfer.
  2. Apply for NMU in the semester before you plan to transfer.
  3. Communicate with the Admission Office during the transfer application process that you are following this articulation agreement.
  4. For applicants with a 3.0 GPA or higher, confirm with Admission Office the process for gaining the scholarship

Participation Details

Students must declare that they are pursuing the Transfer Pathway that includes the Cannabis Dispensary and Patient Care Specialist Certificate and the completion of the Associate in General Studies degree as prescribed in this Transfer Pathway.

Students must apply for Northern Michigan University and gain admission.

To be awarded the $5600.00 Transfer Scholarship, student must have earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher prior to transferring. This reduces the tuition to the same level as in-state tuition for Michigan residents.
