Access, Equity and Diversity

Oakton enjoys a rich legacy of diversity on campus, educating students of all ages from all walks of life who hail from more than 50 countries around the globe. Committed to enriching its shared learning and working environment, the College continues to attract and support a more diverse faculty, staff, and student body, and equally values and celebrates members of the community for their contributions. Connecting What Matters, Oakton’s strategic plan for 2013 – 2017, reflects the College’s goal to overcome racism and other forms of bias. The College’s Office of Access, Equity and Diversity and several institutional groups, including the Anti-Racism Team and the Diversity Council, provide leadership for access and equity.
