Trudy Bers, Executive Director of Institutional Research, Curriculum, and Strategic Planning

Trudy Bers, Ph.D., oversees the College's research and planning activities, as well as an eclectic and unusual portfolio of responsibilities in academic affairs. The author of more than 50 articles and book chapters and the editor of three issues of New Directions for Community Colleges, she serves on the editorial board of the Enrollment Management Journal. She also is a data facilitator for Achieving the Dream. She is the past president of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR), Council for the Study of Community Colleges (CSCC), Illinois AIR, and National Council for Community College Research and Planning. The former chair of the National Postsecondary Education Cooperative, she holds a Ph.D. and B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois-Urbana, an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern, and an M.A. in public law and government from Columbia University.


Maya Evans, Manager of Research

Responsible for planning and implementing institutional research and assessment projects, Maya Evans surveys students; prepares reports for regional, state, federal, and other external agencies; and provides professional and technical support to faculty, administrators, and staff on a variety of research projects. She earned an M.A. in political science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.


Jim Holderfield, Research Analyst

Jim Holderfield plans and implements institutional research projects, with a special focus on data analysis. He holds an M.A. in history from Roosevelt University.


Pat Miller, Institutional Research Assistant
pmiller@oakton.edu

Pat Miller provides administrative assistance to the Office of Research staff and to faculty as well as administrators working on research projects.


Marilyn Davis, Senior Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs
mdavis@oakton.edu

Marilyn Davis collaborates with faculty and state agencies to add and revise courses and curricula, and update the College Catalog.
