Richard Stacewicz

Education Background:

  • B.A., Psychology and Philosophy, University of Michigan
  • Ph.D., History, University of Illinois, Chicago

Teaching Philosophy:

I have been greatly influenced by the pedagogy of Paulo Freire, Ira Shor and others who promote critical examination of society in order to empower students to become active participants in the life of their communities and the world. I am fortunate in that my courses lend themselves well to this kind of approach.
