"We're Talking Your Language"
Audio Exchange Program
CDs are available for some Oakton Modern language courses. Exchange
blank CDs for pre-recorded CDs of corresponding lab exercises for home
use.
Audio/Visual Services
The language lab is equipped with a multi-system VCR and multi-zone
DVD player to watch foreign films and DVDs. Students may review videotapes
for any class.
Computers
Access Web-based audio and video on multimedia computers. Headphones
are available for academic purposes only. Computers features:
• GED, TOEFL, and ESL pronunciation software
• Special Modern Language software
• CD/DVD drives
• Digital recording and classroom management software
Language Resources
Language resources include:
• Vast collection of ESL audio, print materials, and videos/DVDs.
List of materials for RHC
and DPC.
• Select Modern language magazines and reference materials
• Student audiotapes and instructor console
• LCD projector with large screen
• Sony fast-speed duplicator
• HP LaserJet printer
Support Groups
Clubs or activities are available to enhance language learning:

is free for Oakton language students and it's offered at the Language
