If you are seeking a satisfying career, consider Health Information Technology (HIT). The field combines the disciplines of medicine, computer technology and information management. The degrees and certificates offered are designed to prepare students for a variety of entry-level positions in the health care industry. Working with health care practitioners you can play an important role in an arena that offers meaningful work, good pay and the opportunity to keep on learning and advancing.

An Associate Degree in Applied Science in Health Information Technology. Also, there are four certificate programs available which include, Medical Coding Certificate, Medical Billing Certificate, Medical Office Management Certificate, and Medical Transciption Certificate.

Go to school at night....

We offer a full-time day AAS degree on the Des Plaines campus as well as a part-time evening AAS degree program in Health Information Technology at the Skokie Campus. The evening program provides flexibility for people interested in this profession, especially for already employed adults seeking additional skills or a new career.

All our certificates may also be completed in the evening.

Certification Exams....

Our currciulum follows AHIMA's requirements for the RHIT, CCA, CCS, CCS-P and AHDI's medical transcription CMT.
