Overview
Students who successfully complete the first year of the Associate Degree Nursing curriculum may select the option of enrolling in NUR 151. Upon completion of this course, students receive the Practical Nurse certificate and are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (LPN).
Nursing courses are a combination of classroom and clinical experiences. Classes are usually held on the Des Plaines campus, while clinical experience is offered in a variety of health care settings in the community. Students must provide their own transportation between the college campus and the clinical sites. This is a limited enrollment program. Students interested in this currriculum must submit an application to the College and complete a Health Care Program Admission application.
