A message from the dean

Welcome!

As the nation — and Illinois —- continues to face severe shortages of trained personnel in science and healthcare, Oakton Community College provides the training you need to prepare for a career in these dynamic fields. The College offers an array of options, including the Associate in Science degree, for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university.

If your goal is to enter the workforce quickly, you may elect to earn an Associate in Applied Science degree or a certificate in basic nurse assistant training, health information technology, nursing practice review, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy, or physical therapist assistant.

Whatever program you choose, Oakton prepares tomorrow's leaders who help shape the effective and efficient delivery of science and health care services. I invite you to come tour the campuses, check out our technologically advanced facilities, and see for yourself how you can "start here and go anywhere."

Best Wishes,

Dennis D. Graham
