Accounting Textbook Information

Accounting Textbook Information

Accounting textbook information for each course and section is available on Oakton's Schedule of Classes

Within the Schedule of Classes, textbooks can be found clicking on an individual course section and looking for the words "View Book Information".  See below for more details about the textbooks for accounting courses.

ACC 153 Financial Accounting

The Schedule of Classes shows that the textbook for ACC 153 is a custom bundle.

For the face-to-face students, Oakton has negotiated a very good price with Wiley so students can get a black and white copy of the textbook along with the Wiley Plus access code.  The current bookstore price is $106.50.

The Wiley Plus access code alone would cost $100.50 so students are essentially getting the printed book for $6.  We highly recommend that students do not purchase a book outside of the Oakton bookstore.  Students who purchase an outside book will still need to spend another $100.50 to register in their instructor's Wiley Plus course.

Also, please make sure to purchase the student handout packet at the bookstore.

The online section has a different bundle in the bookstore.  The price of this is $101.30 and it includes a paper book and an access code.  Students would spend this much on the access code alone so the paper book is essentially free.

ACC 154 Managerial Accounting
The Schedule of Classes shows that the textbook for ACC 154 is a custom bundle.  For the face-to-face students, Oakton has negotiated a very good price with Pearson so students can get a looseleaf copy of the textbook along with the MyAccountingLab s access code.  The current bookstore price is $101.30.

The MyAccountingLab access code alone would cost $100 so students are essentially getting the printed book for $1.  We highly recommend that students do not purchase a book outside of the Oakton bookstore.  Students who purchase an outside book will still need to spend another $100 to register in MyAccountingLab.

Note to face-to-face students: Please make sure to also purchase the student handout packet at the bookstore.
