Personal Statement

Madhuri Deshmukh holds a PhD in English from Loyola University and is currently researching the devotional poems and songs of medieval women in India.

Last year she was the co-leader of a Fulbright-Hays Group Study Abroad. The participants spent over five weeks in India studying Gandhi and Globalization. She is pictured above with Vandana Shiva, one of the activists and intellectuals with whom the participants met.
