Register early!   Each class has a required minimum enrollment. You could make the difference between a "go" and a "cancel."

The College is closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the summer term.

TUITION, FEES & RESIDENCY

Tuition and fees are as low as operating costs and state law permit and are subject to change without notice. Noncredit tuition charges are the same for both in- and out-of-district residents. Tuition does not include the cost of text or materials. Personal checks are accepted - a $25 fee will be applied if your check is returned by the bank.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
All students, including senior citizens, are now charged a $5 processing fee. This fee is charged only once per semester, and is non-refundable.

All students, including senior citizens, are charged a $5 processing fee. This fee is charged only once per semester, and is non-refundable.

Half Tuition
Residents of the Oakton Community College District who are 60 years or older are eligible to enroll for one-half of the course tuition stated for each course (does not apply to tours). Proof of age and residence must be provided at the time of registration. Half price tuition may not be requested after full-price tuition has been processed.

Full Tuition Waiver
Residents of the Oakton Community College District who are 65 years or older may enroll in scheduled "A" courses without payment of tuition only under the following conditions:

  • Class is an "A" coded course (example: TEC A19-01).
  • Annual household income is less than $14,000.
  • The class is not filled.
  • Enrollment of tuition-paying students exceeds the minimum number required for
        the course.
  • Proof of age and a signed declaration of annual household income are required at
        the time of registration. Completion of a waiver request form is necessary with each
        registration.

    REFUNDS
    If Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL) withdraws a class, registered students will receive a full tuition refund.
    A 100% tuition refund will be issued if students notify the Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL) office five business days prior to the first class session.
    NO refunds will be issued for requests received less than five business days before start of class.
    As previously stated, the $5 processing fee is nonrefundable.

    ONLINE REGISTRATION
    Online Registration - my.oakton.edu
    Use the Web to register, add or drop classes, view your class schedule, or to receive your account summary.

    To Register Online -

    • If you HAVE NOT registered for a Noncredit Continuing Education class in the past three years, go here.
    • Set up a user name and PIN (password) for yourself, then click on LOGIN.
    • On the next screen, choose "Noncredit (Alliance)" application, then click on "Continue." From this point on, be sure to follow instructions for Noncredit Classes.

    • If you HAVE registered for a Noncredit (Alliance) class in the past three years, log on to my.oakton.edu.
    • Enter your username and password, OR click on "How do I find my username and password?"
    • Follow online instructions from this point
    • After login, you will be guided through the registration process. Be sure to follow instructions for Noncredit Classes.

    Online registration requires payment by credit card (Mastercard, Visa or Discover) at the time of registration.
    Hours for online registration are:
    Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 10 pm.
    Saturday and Sunday, 8 am - 5 pm.

    BY MAIL

    • Send a check payable to Oakton Community College (include your social security number on the check to ensure proper credit). Or pay by credit card (Mastercard, VISA or Discover); include credit card no., expiration date and signature.
    • Print and complete the registration form.

    • Payment must accompany registration form.
