Introductory course concentrates on the concept of title with all rights and interests attached to it and protection of purchase of real estate against loss or damages due to defects in the title. RES 207 requires understanding of considerable amount of terminology. Content includes real estate principles, title searching, abstracts, legal descriptions, underwriting, closings, various policies, federal agency regulation, and real estate title business.

Course concentrates on special interest needs of real estate students and local business organizations. Topics will be offered for variable credit from one to four semester credit hours.
