The National Science Foundation awarded Oakton Community College with a S-STEM Grant (DUE 072843) to provide scholarships for talented full-time science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) students who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is intended to help students who might be unable to be a full-time student without additional financial support. Depending on the financial need and mathematics background, APEX Scholars may receive up to $8,000 per year. Students who have previously received this scholarship may be eligible for $1,000 or $2,000 per year while attending a four-year school full-time and majoring in STEM. Due date has been extended until Dec. 4.
