Oakton Offers Computer Literacy Courses
Increase your computer literacy by enrolling in classes offered by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College.
Electronic Spreadsheeting for PCs (Excel 2003) (CPT A11-31) shows how to use spreadsheets for business and accounting applications. Five-week course meets Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 - 10:10 p.m., starting June 5, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $165.
Comprehensive Word Processing (Word 2003) (CPT A22-31) covers the use and application of word processing features. Eight-week course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 - 10 p.m., starting June 6, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus. Course fee is $265.
PowerPoint XP Presentation Graphics (CPT A10-31) demonstrates how to compose and create computer slide presentations. Seven-week class meets Tuesdays, 5 - 9:40 p.m., starting June 6, at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Course fee is $180.
Introduction to SQL (CPT A21-31) provides the basic concepts of structured query language (SQL), which allows users to access information in Oracle and other relational database management systems. Eight-week course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 - 9:50 p.m., starting June 6, at Oakton's Des Plaines campus. Course fee is $265.
