Beginning
Cantonese (LCH C07-01) teaches basic speaking, reading, and
writing skills for this major Chinese dialect and official language
of Hong Kong. Eight-week course meets Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30
p.m., starting Jan. 27, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N.
Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $154.
Collage
(ART D20-01) demonstrates how to create abstract, as well as realistic
and surrealistic artistic compositions. Students are asked to bring
scissors and rubber cement to class. Twelve-week course meets Mondays,
7 - 9 p.m., starting Jan. 29, at Niles North High School, 9800 Lawler
Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $150.
Hubbard
Street Dance Chicago (ART D11-01) showcases this critically
acclaimed dance troupe through a lecture and slide presentation. One-week
session meets 7 - 8:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 29, at Niles North High
School. Course fee is $20.
Wish
It, Dream It, Do It! (PSY C39-01) propels students to harness
their dreams into reality. One-week session meets 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Glenbrook South High School, 4000 W. Lake Ave.,
Glenview. Course fee is $25.
The
ABCs of Getting Organized (ART D05-01) demonstrates how to
remove the clutter in your life, freeing up valuable time. One-week
session meets 7 - 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Niles North High
School. Course fee is $30.
