improve their chess game. Twelve-week course meets 6:30 - 9 p.m.,
Wednesdays, starting Jan. 18, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701
N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $99.
Back
to the Real World Diet (HEA E98-01) presents factual information
on how the body processes and stores food, along with sensible dietary
and nutritional principles. Find out why "fad" diets don't work. Two-week
course meets 7 - 8:30 p.m., Thursdays, starting Jan. 19, at Niles
West High School, 5701 Oakton St., Skokie. Course fee is $50.
Directing
a Great Date: Dinner for Two (PSY C30-01) provides reasonably
priced ways to entertain at home or on the town. Course also covers
rules of etiquette, the importance of presentation, and serving ideas.
One-week class meets 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26, at Maine East
High School, 2601 Dempster St., Park Ridge. Course fee is $25.
Public
Speaking with Confidence (COM B02-01) demonstrates how to
overcome stage fright. Topics also include organizing a speech, making
impromptu presentations, and improving delivery. Eight-week course
meets Mondays, 7:30 - 10 p.m., starting Jan. 30, at Niles North High
School, 9800 Lawler Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $139.
