Oakton Offers New Courses at Evanston Township
Enhance your life in new courses offered by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College. Featured courses begin in March and meet at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave., Evanston.
Constructing Marionettes: The Wonderful World of Puppets (ART T05-01) allows students to build their own puppet. Participants will learn the history of puppetry and how to stage a show from an expert. Seven-week class meets 7 - 9:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, starting March 4. Course fee is $84.
Complementary Therapies: An Introduction (HEA S42-01) demonstrates how a variety of therapies, including a shiatsu massage and herbal tea, can be used to enhance your health. Four-week course meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, starting March 4. Course fee is $65.
Stress Management and Beyond: Wellness As a Way of Life (PSY S38-02) examines the role of stress in our lives and offers several techniques to reduce stress and promote wellness. Four-week course meets 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday, starting March 5. Course fee is $69.
Other available courses at ETHS include: Selling Your Photographs (ART E16-02), America's Boating (REC E12-03), and Poetry Writing (COM W13-02).
