Life-Story Theatre (ART D13-01) helps students weave
memories into a class performance splashed with music, humor, and
truth. Session meets 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday April 12, at Maine East
High School, 2601 Dempster St., Park Ridge. Course fee is $30.
Rubber
Stamping and More (ART C56-01) allows students to unleash
their creativity by designing personalized greeting cards and exploring
other ideas for using rubber stamps. Two-week session meets 6 - 8
p.m., Thursdays, April 12 and 19, at the North Shore Senior Center,
161 Northfield Road, Northfield. Course fee is $60.
Anime
Drawing Workshops for Adults (ART D23-02) is an opportunity
for fans of this popular Japanese style of animation to gather with
like-minded enthusiasts. Students will also learn how to create Japanese
cartoons known as manga. Starter materials are included in
the course fee. One-week session meets 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., Monday, April
14, at the Morton Grove Park District Prairie View Center, 6834 Dempster
St., Morton Grove. Course fee is $50.
Backyard
Birding (REC S34-01) shows how to get started in this popular
hobby by offering tips not found in most birding books. One-week session
meets 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, at Glenbrook South High School,
4000 W. Lake Ave., Glenview. Course fee is $19.
