Sharpen Skills with Oakton's Job Development Courses


Increase career marketability with professional job development courses offered by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL) at Oakton Community College. Registration is now open for classes in many fields, including accounting, computer networking, design/AutoCAD, electronics and computer technology, management and supervision, marketing, office technology, and professional selling.

Organizational Change Leadership (MAN A25-01, Touch-Tone 08612) teaches students to evaluate and implement change strategies for various organizations. The class meets from 8:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Saturdays, beginning March 1, at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. The course fee is $162.

Advanced Professional Selling (MAR A09-01, Touch-Tone 08430), focuses on selling techniques and strategies developed by top sales trainers. The class meets from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursdays, beginning March 20, at the Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Avenue, Skokie. The course fee is $162.

Other job development courses offered include Computer Accounting Applications (ACC 02), CAD II (DES A07), A+ Certification Preparation (ECT A06), Effective Marketing Communications (MAN A29), Principles of Marketing (MAR A01), and Introduction to Networking (INT A01).

Students who have registered for ALL classes within the last five years or a credit course within the last three years may register by using the Touch-Tone system at 847-635-1616 or by fax at 847-635-1448.
