in new online courses offered through the Alliance for Lifelong Learning
at Oakton Community College. Registration is now open for more than
40 classes that start in late June.
All
online courses require e-mail and Internet access using Netscape or
Internet Explorer. These featured classes run from June 20 - Aug.
10 and have a course fee of $84.
Grammar
for English as a Second Language (COM S08-331) provides an
in-depth analysis of English grammar and structure. This course is
recommended for students heading to college whose native language
is not English.
Get
Paid to Travel (BUB E37-331) teaches how to begin a career
in the travel industry. Topics include tour procedures, documentation,
and handling emergencies.
Creating
a Home Network (INT E01-331) reveals how to create a home
network so that your computers can easily share printers, Internet
connections, drives, and documents.
Creating
a Small Office Network (INT A12-331) demonstrates how to
create your own small office network using Windows XP.
Everyday
Math (MAT E03-331) offers valuable tips to increase your
confidence in basic math skills in order to start using math to your
advantage.
