Enhance
professional skills without leaving the comfort of home in new online
courses offered through the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton
Community College. Registration is now open for classes that start
in August.
All
featured courses require e-mail and Internet access using Netscape
or Internet Explorer. These featured classes run from Aug. 16 to Sept.
22 and have a course fee of $79.
Digital
Photography: Improve Your Images (Output) (ART C52-300) allows
students to master the art of digital image management. Students must
have a digital camera, Microsoft Windows 98 or better, and Paint Shop
Pro 9 image editing software.
Employment
Law Fundamentals (BUB A17-300) teaches how to legally hire,
evaluate, and manage employees. This course is a must for any aspiring
or current supervisor, manager, or human resources professional.
Caring
for Children (ETN E02-300) demonstrates how to care for the
children in your life with confidence and ease. Learn how to keep
children safe, create an effective learning environment at home, and
encourage healthy habits.
Introductions
to Stock Options (FIN E22-300) shows how to evaluate, buy,
sell, and profit using various investment tools.
