Oakton Offers Two Photo Field Study Courses

Broaden your photography skills and gain experience taking pictures on location by enrolling in two Oakton Community College field study courses.

The Architecture and Cemeteries of New Orleans: A Photographic Journey (ART 290-1D1) gives film and digital photography students a chance to document historic locations of the "Crescent City," including the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Interested students must attend one of two free information sessions, either at 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 20, or 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25. Class will travel to New Orleans May 21 - 29.

Photographing Around Chicago (ART 290-1D6) offers students the opportunity for an extended photographic documentation of "the city of broad shoulders." Interested students must attend one of two free information sessions, either at 7 p.m., Friday, March 4, or 3 p.m., Sunday, March 6. Course runs from June 6 through July 28.
