The
New Yorker (HUM E93-72) analyzes favorite selections
from the sophisticated magazine, The New Yorker. A subscription
to The New Yorker is required. Six-week seminar meets Mondays,
10 a.m. - 12 p.m., starting March 27. Course fee is $60.
Art
of the Baroque (ART C71-71) examines works by Baroque painters,
sculptors, and architects. Baroque art is characterized by dynamic
energy, exuberant richness, and high drama. Four-week class meets
Wednesdays, 10 - 11:30 a.m., starting March 29. Course fee is $60.
Axial
Age II (PHL E49-72) studies the lives and teachings of influential
sages including Zoroaster, Isaiah, Plato, and Confucius. Eight-week
course meets Fridays, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., starting March 31. Course
fee is $90.
Oakton's
Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars,
and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences
with peers age 50 and over.
