Emeritus Program Examines Fine Arts

Experience a greater appreciation for Shakespeare and fine art in classes offered this summer by the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College.

Belly up to the Bard (HUM B36-92) considers the 400-year popularity of Shakespeare's works. Three-week course meets 12:30 - 2 p.m., Tuesdays, starting July 18, at Classic Residence by Hyatt, 2500 Indigo Lane, Glenview. Course fee is $40.

Learning to Look at Art (ART D05-91) provides insight into how to enjoy works by famous artists. Three-week course meets 10 - 11:30 a.m., Wednesdays, starting July 19, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $40.

Oakton's Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars, and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences with peers age 50 and over.
