Who Was Shakespeare? (HUM B58-91) provides insight into the works of Shakespeare, including the long-standing controversy over authorship of his plays. Four-week course meets 3:30 – 5 p.m., Tuesday, starting July 7. Course fee is $60.
Who Wrote That? It Might Surprise You (MUS S49-91) is a musical exploration of some uncharacteristic works from composers that depart dramatically from their signature pieces. Sessions also feature anecdotes about each composer. Four-week course meets 10 – 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, starting July 8. Course fee is $70.
Death and Eternal Life (PHL E89-91) is a thought-provoking review of how different cultures have viewed beliefs about death and eternal life. Eight-week course meets 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Wednesday, starting July 8. Course fee is $100.
The Art Institute of Chicago (ART I11-91) highlights the museum’s new 65,000-square-foot wing designed to showcase modern and contemporary art. Focus on works by Grant Wood, Pablo Picasso, Edward Hopper, and Georgia O’Keefe. Single session course meets 1 – 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 8. Course fee is $20.
