Oakton Emeritus Course Examines World Music

Experience exotic musical instruments from around the world in a new course offered by the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College.

Improvising and Composing with Instruments of the World (MUS B53-63) combines a lecture on improvisation and composition with performances on flutes, zithers, drums, kalimbas, and toys from around the world. Course meets 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 11, at Oakton Community College, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $15.
