In
Search of Jewish Roots: From Tin Pan Alley to Perlman and Patinkin
(MUS C09-61) examines the influence of Jewish musicians in recent
history. Three-week class meets 10 - 11:15 a.m., Tuesdays, starting
Nov. 16, at Temple Judea Mizpah, 8610 Niles Center Road, Skokie. Course
fee is $60.
DNA
(SCI E41-61) studies the genetic material in all living matter. Two-week
seminar meets 2:30 - 4 p.m., Tuesdays, starting Nov. 9, at Oakton's
Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is
$30.
The
Middle East (PSE B08-61) explores the history and politics of
the Middle East in the 20th century. Four-week course meets 10:30
a.m. - 12 p.m., Fridays, starting Nov. 5. Course fee is $50.
Oakton's
Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars,
and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences
with peers age 50 and over.
