Stay active this summer in recreation or fitness courses offered by
the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College. All featured classes

Duplicate
Bridge (REC S61-91) is designed to sharpen your bridge-playing
skills. Eight-week class meets Mondays, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m., starting
June 12. Course fee is $130.
Tai
Chi (PED E30-91) demonstrates an ancient form of exercise
to reduce stress. Tai Chi is best practiced in loose clothing and
stocking feet. Ten-week course meets Mondays, 1:15 - 2:15 p.m., starting
June 12. Course fee is $120.
Advanced
Tai Chi (PED E39-91) further challenges students to enhance
their level of awareness and relaxation. Advanced Tai Chi is best
practiced in loose clothing and stocking feet. Ten-week class meets
Mondays, 12 - 1 p.m., starting June 12. Course fee is $120.
Beginning
Hatha Yoga (PED S10-91) teaches stretching, breathing, and
relaxation techniques to relieve stress. Students should bring a small
pillow and a mat or towel to class. Ten-week course meets Wednesdays,
9:30 - 10:30 a.m., starting June 14. Course fee is $120.
Intermediate
Hatha Yoga (PED S11-91) is for those who have attended Beginning
Hatha Yoga and wish to advance in their practice. Ten-week course
meets Wednesdays, 10:45 - 11:45 a.m., starting June 14. Course fee
is $120.
Oakton's
Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars,
and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences
with peers age 50 and over.
