Better Living Through Writing in Oakton Course

Take a spiritual journey to find your inner self, in a new fall credit class offered through the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College.

Join Jelena Bankovic, Ph.D., associate professor of English, to discover new ways of seeing life more clearly in Write On! A Spiritual Journey Through Journaling (EGL 290). This three-credit-hour course explores aspects of individual spirituality through journaling, and provides a forum to discuss and reflect on excerpts from books by Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer, Henriette Klausser, and others. This 17-week course meets 5:30 - 8:20 p.m., starting Monday, Aug. 23 at the Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.

Students age 60 and over who live within Oakton's district pay half-tuition for Emeritus classes. Those who have registered for an Oakton credit class within the last three years or an Alliance for Lifelong Learning noncredit class within the last five years may register using the Touch-Tone system by dialing 847-635-1616. Touch-Tone registration requires payment using a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). For more information, call 847-635-1414 or 847-982-9888, press 3.
