Students
of all ages are invited to attend a physical therapist assistant (PTA)
seminar on Monday, Aug. 16, 2 - 3:30 p.m. at Oakton Community College,
1600 E. Golf Road. Oakton's PTA faculty will be on hand to discuss
career opportunities in a field where jobs are predicted to grow faster
than the average through the year 2012.

PTA
is one of 26 career programs offered at Oakton where students can
earn their Associate in Applied Science (AAS). More than 100 certificate
programs also are available at Oakton. Classes for the fall semester
begin Monday, Aug. 23.
Established
in 1969, Oakton Community College offers degree and certificate curricula
for students preparing to earn a bachelor's degree at a four-year
college or university, as well as those preparing for employment in
a variety of careers. Oakton is accredited by the Higher Learning
Commission and is a member of the North Central Association, Illinois
College Board, and American Association of Community Colleges.
