Travel to Alaska on Oakton Study Program

Join Oakton Community College on a family study/tour to Alaska. Weekly departures in 2005 are scheduled from May through September.

Spend a week cruising along the Inside Passage of Alaska while the captain provides classes and lectures that appeal to both children and adults. Search for sea otters and humpback whales, or find yourself face-to-face with salmon-seeking bears. View magnificent landscapes, including the Misty Fjords, Lynn Canal, and Glacier Bay.

Throughout the journey, the ship will stop at various ports to provide added educational experiences. Visits include the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush town of Skagway, St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Sitka, and Haines, site of Alaska's oldest army fort. Spend a day at Glacier Bay National Park, as an experienced ranger navigates the icy rivers.
