Begin in the captivating city of Bangkok and visit the famous temples
of the Golden Buddha and the Reclining Buddha. Travel to Siem Reap,
the gateway to the mystical temple complex of Angkor. In Ho Chi Minh
City, formerly Saigon, tour historic landmarks, including Chinatown
and the Palace of the Jade Emperor. Enjoy the poetic ambience of the
Perfume River and travel the mountainous Hai Van Pass. In Hanoi, discover
cultural treasures, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Lake of the
Restored Sword, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Finally, tour the Hong
Kong business district and savor spectacular views from the city's
harbor.
Throughout
the journey, enjoy discussions from local experts that explore the
history, culture, and modern-day life in this fascinating region.
Available at an extra cost are optional excursions to the countryside
of Kanchanaburi, made famous in the film, Bridge over the River
Kwai, and Cu Chi Tunnels, a 150-mile long network of underground
passages and rooms.
