Head to the Outback with Oakton

Journey "down under" on a study/travel tour sponsored by Oakton Community College. One Australia trip is slated for 2004, Oct. 3 - 20; three more adventures are planned for 2005: Jan. 23 - Feb. 9, May 15 - June 1, and Oct. 2 - 19.

From Outback settlers to the Aborigines, learn about the development of the world's largest island and smallest continent. Marvel at Australia's ecological wonders, from tropical rain forests and the Great Barrier Reef, to the flora and fauna of the arid "Red Center." Visitors also will experience contemporary urban Australia, including the financial center of Melbourne and Sydney, which offers breathtaking sites such as Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

This study/travel tour also includes cultural interaction and captivating educational lectures. For complete itineraries and costs, call Bea Cornelissen at 847-635-1812.
