LEARN ABOUT BASIC NURSE ASSISTANT TRAINING AT
DECEMBER INFORMATION SESSIONS

Registration begins soon for the spring 2002 Basic Nurse Assistant Training (BNAT) Program offered by Oakton's Alliance for Lifelong Learning. The 11-week, non-credit program prepares individuals to function at the beginning nursing-assistant level and to meet Illinois Department of Public Health requirements for certification. Certified nurse assistants (CNA) are qualified to work in nursing homes, hospitals and home health agencies.

The class meets from 5:30-10 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, beginning January 29. As there are a limited number of openings, students will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested in applying for the spring 2001 program must attend one of five information sessions scheduled for December. Dates and times are as follows: 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6; Friday, Dec. 7, and Friday Dec. 14. For those who have commitments in the evenings, two morning sessions have been scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10 and Monday, Dec. 17. All sessions will be held in Room A120 at the Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling (847) 635-1416 or (847) 635-1498. Applicants should bring their Social Security Cards and proof of active health insurance coverage to the information session.
